Squirro Release 3.5.1

The latest Squirro Release 3.5.1 is now generally available on our mirror. In order to upgrade your existing Squirro installation or install a new version of Squirro, please head over to the Getting Squirro page for relevant instructions.

Highlights :zap: of this release includes multiple improvements to displaying PDF files :spiral_notepad:, support for projects and statistics :1234: in the monitoring plugin, new search bar widget :computer: and more.

  • The Monitoring plugin now supports projects and sources statistics.
  • Add loading button state CSS and class called button-loading.
  • Search Bar Widget implemented in React.js.
  • Add MLflow and its dependencies packages.
  • Package conda (miniforge).

Bug Fixes :beetle:

  • Do not highlight sub-terms on PDFs.
  • Keep sidebar state when moving between items in item detail view.
  • Fix the dropdown mode of Tabs widget is misplaced to the left of the widget.
  • Fix the preview of Excel files when the file had a numeric header
  • Fix opensearch plugin missing dependency (feedwerk)
  • Dates and times in AI studio & Data Sources should now be displayed in the correct timezone based on the user’s browser

  • Fix React pie chart being loaded when react widgets are disabled
  • PDF Item detail and comparison view have been improved to match design specifications

Breaking Changes :wrench:

  • Rename Tags, Keywords, and Facets into Labels, remove Labels toggle, add white background to Labels placeholder in the item detail

Installation and Upgrade :rocket:

You will have to resolve at least the following config files when upgrading from Squirro 3.3.0

  • /etc/nginx/conf.d/ssl.inc
  • /etc/squirro/common.ini

For new installations, please follow the Setup on Linux instructions.

To upgrade an existing installation, please consult the Upgrades for Squirro 3.4.x and later guide.
